One update per day
Four people coordinated each morning between 06:00 and 09:00 to build the executive report. Incidents occurring after that update were missing from the daily snapshot.
CloudHero helped a utility company develop its enterprise data strategy, build a BigQuery-centered platform and connect operational data to reporting. Automated executive reporting replaced a four-person morning coordination process, with near-real-time access for senior management. The excavation example shows works distributed across the city.
A map brings the location of works into the same view as service groups, report filters and detailed operational records.
Outcomes confirmed by CloudHero’s project owner. The three-hour figure describes the morning coordination window, not verified working time for each person. Zero refers to manual report preparation, not ongoing platform operation or maintenance.

Automated report preparation gives senior management access to data close to real time at any point in the day. They can review updated operational information without waiting for the next morning’s report.
Operational information was spread across source systems. Preparing the executive report required four people to coordinate each morning from 06:00 to 09:00. Because the report was updated only once per day, later incidents were missing from that snapshot.
The excavation-reporting example makes this tangible: a summary of works, filters, a map and a detailed record view are brought into the same reporting workflow.

Excavation-work summaries, maps, filters and record views.
CloudHero developed the enterprise data strategy and built the platform and integrations. BigQuery provided an analytical environment, with Dataform used for transformations.
The reference account describes a data catalog, pipelines from internal databases into BigQuery and Google Cloud administration aligned with the customer’s governance requirements.
The displayed sample contains 30 works: 17 in the water-service group and 13 in the sewer-service group. A detailed table lets the reader inspect records alongside their work types and organizational structure.
Six visible filter dimensions cover date, service group, structure, address, sector and work type. The example includes a map and breakdowns by work category, with sharing and report-download controls.
| Service group | Works shown |
|---|---|
| Water-service group | 17 |
| Sewer-service group | 13 |
| Total | 30 |
Source integrations and a BigQuery-centered platform provide datasets for the agreed reporting uses.
Automated report assembly eliminated the previous manual preparation task. Senior management can access near-real-time operational information throughout the day, including the mapped reporting views.
The strategy, catalog and data-engineering work support additional analytical uses as requirements develop.
The energy forecasting story has its own scope, measurements and outcomes. Its consumption-point counts and meter intervals are separate from the excavation-report sample.
